Visit of the essential archaeological site of Al Baleed, impressive remains of a medieval port, visited by Marco Polo and Ibn Battuta. The site is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name of "land of incense" with other sites in the region. Visit of the Museum where the history of incense and the maritime history of the city are presented.
You will pass by the Sultan palace and then visit the traditional frankincense souq of al Husn .
Then drive to the magnificent Mughsail beach and its geysers, in fact jets of water projected by the swell into the cavities of the cliff. A little further, you can see incense trees "Boswelia sacra" which made the fortune of Dhofar from the 1st millennium BC and still continue today to produce the precious resin.
Continuing west you will take the "infernal road" which in just 5 km and 8 hairpin bends takes you to the Aqishan viewpoint at 1000 meters above sea level.
