Discover The esh-Sharqiya desert

{$destination->destinationName}}

The esh-Sharqiya desert (formerly Wahiba desert named after the Bedouin tribe that lives there) is a vast sand desert 150 km long and 90 km wide, 200 south of the capital. It is a dune complex where the motionless waves of sand change color over the hours of the day, a moving picture, from ocher to infinite shades of orange.

You will discover the Bedouin hospitality of the Wahiba tribe who have lived there for millennia. Here, it takes the form of a bitter coffee sweetened with a few dates.

You will arrive at one of the luxurious camps in the heart of the Wahiba sands where you can taste the charms of the desert.

The highlight of the day is of course the sunset over the dunes.

Activities:  dune bashing , camel ride , quad.
